Requirements
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in application development within the financial services industry.
- Proven experience in application development management or senior technical leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of microservices architectures, APIs, and distributed systems.
- Experience in production support environments, including incident resolution and operational troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as Workday and SAP is highly desirable.
- Strong stakeholder management and team leadership capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, priorities, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Solid understanding of industry practices, software development standards, and governance frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience).
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage one or more application development teams, ensuring delivery of high-quality software solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee hiring, performance management, coaching, and overall people development within the team.
- Provide technical oversight across application systems, leveraging deep expertise in multiple development areas.
- Review and evaluate proposed technical solutions, ensuring feasibility, scalability, and alignment with architectural standards.
- Contribute to the definition of application development strategies and broader technology roadmaps.
- Ensure integration of application systems across business functions, supporting end-to-end operational objectives.
- Monitor delivery performance and participate in budget, resource allocation, and capacity planning activities.
- Enforce adherence to engineering standards, procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate technical and operational risks while ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Manage production support activities, including incident resolution, system stability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
