Requirements

  • 6–10 years of relevant experience in application development within the financial services industry.
  • Proven experience in application development management or senior technical leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of microservices architectures, APIs, and distributed systems.
  • Experience in production support environments, including incident resolution and operational troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as Workday and SAP is highly desirable.
  • Strong stakeholder management and team leadership capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects, priorities, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Solid understanding of industry practices, software development standards, and governance frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage one or more application development teams, ensuring delivery of high-quality software solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Oversee hiring, performance management, coaching, and overall people development within the team.
  • Provide technical oversight across application systems, leveraging deep expertise in multiple development areas.
  • Review and evaluate proposed technical solutions, ensuring feasibility, scalability, and alignment with architectural standards.
  • Contribute to the definition of application development strategies and broader technology roadmaps.
  • Ensure integration of application systems across business functions, supporting end-to-end operational objectives.
  • Monitor delivery performance and participate in budget, resource allocation, and capacity planning activities.
  • Enforce adherence to engineering standards, procedures, and governance frameworks.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate technical and operational risks while ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Manage production support activities, including incident resolution, system stability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
