Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within United States Coast Guard markets.
  • Experience supporting longer-term government pursuits.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in Google Suite.
  • Understanding and experience with NetSuite or equivalent ERP software.
  • Proficient in Salesforce.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
  • Familiarity with United States Coast Guard mission areas, systems, or operational environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with US Coast Guard program offices and stakeholders.
  • Engage customers to understand mission needs and capability gaps.
  • Promote company products, services, and solutions.
  • Hold customer meetings, briefings, and capability demos.
  • Develop and execute business development plans.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Identify, qualify, and develop near and long-term sales opportunities.
  • Conduct market, customer, and competitive research.
  • Represent company at trade shows and industry days.
