Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline
- 5+ years of experience in a technical field
- High-level proficiency with enterprise networking environments
- CCNP Certification preferred
- Knowledge of WAN/LAN concepts, interfaces, and topology
- Proficiency in two or more routing protocols: IP, EIRGP, OSPF, BGP
- Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, or Palo Alto
- Ability to perform protocol analysis using a LAN analyzer
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, isolate, and diagnose common network/systems problems
- Resolve and manage problems immediately
- Establish networking environment by designing system configuration and defining standards
- Develop and maintain network topology documentation
- Schedule upgrades and collaborate on network optimization
- Secure network by establishing and enforcing policies
- Report network operational status
- Analyze network data to determine usage and server function
- Configure security settings and access permissions
- Configure WAN/LAN routers, switches, and controllers
