Requirements
- 5+ years of professional development experience
- Proficiency in backend technologies (Go, Ruby on Rails, Java or similar)
- Experience designing and consuming REST or GraphQL APIs
- Working knowledge of relational SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)
- Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot)
- Experience scaling payment-processing and payout systems
- Hands-on experience with payment service providers (e.g., Stripe, Adyen, Braintree)
- Understanding of payment lifecycles, settlement, and chargebacks
- Familiarity with security best practices, CI/CD, and automated testing
- Experience with feature flags and telemetry
Responsibilities
- Design and build services and features for the finance tech stack
- Collaborate with Staff Engineers and Product teams
- Mentor developing engineers and contribute to engineering excellence
- Participate in an on-call rotation
- Integrate AI-enabled tooling into daily workflows
- Design features for performant, safe, and compliant financial transactions
- Triage and investigate production issues
