Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive People Operations experience.
  • Experience at a fast-growing startup that scaled from 150 to 350 employees.
  • Experience managing a distributed or offshore operations team.
  • Strong understanding of multi-state employment compliance.
  • Operational risk management experience.
  • Experience partnering with external vendors for payroll, benefits, EOR, and immigration.
  • High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential data.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Experience managing EOR platforms (Deel, Remote, Rippling Global, etc.).
  • Familiarity with immigration support processes.
  • HRIS expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a distributed offshore People Ops team with coaching and structure.
  • Establish workflows, quality standards, and SLAs for onboarding, payroll, and benefits.
  • Drive HRIS data integrity, automation, and self-service to reduce manual work.
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, tax withholding, and year-end reporting.
  • Lead open enrollment and manage health and retirement programs.
  • Manage EOR partnerships for international employees.
  • Maintain the compliance calendar and lead audits for payroll and documentation.
  • Coordinate with counsel to manage immigration filings and visa tracking.
