Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience with safety-critical, cyber-physical systems (automotive, aerospace, medical).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related technical field.
- 6+ years of technical experience if holding a degree.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles for embedded, automotive, and autonomous systems.
- Proficiency with embedded operating systems (Linux, QNX, Autosar).
- Proficiency with embedded networking.
- Experience in recognizing software/hardware security vulnerabilities.
- Experience with Threat Modeling.
Responsibilities
- Define and evaluate the implementation of cybersecurity controls, including but not limited to, embedded operating system, encryption, access controls, network security, and secure coding practices.
- Conduct process activities to define requirements, find design deficiencies, detect implementation defects, verify the product’s cybersecurity posture, and secure products.
- Collaborate with product development teams to embed security into their design and development lifecycle.
- Monitor emerging cybersecurity threats and update security approaches and strategies.
- Manage relationships with external security vendors and partners.
- Prepare and present evidence in the cybersecurity case for product launch readiness.
- Train internal stakeholders on security practices.
