Responsibilities
- Place outbound calls to insurance carriers and navigate payer phone systems
- Verify active coverage and obtain detailed benefits information
- Accurately document all information obtained during calls
- Interpret call outcomes and apply decision criteria to move cases
- Identify discrepancies between payer-reported benefits and information on file
- Meet daily productivity and quality standards
- Maintain working knowledge of insurance terminology and plan types
