- 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
Requirements
- Active CPA license required.
- 5+ years of direct data center industry experience (hyperscale, colocation, or digital infrastructure).
- 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience in capital-intensive industries.
- Demonstrated REIT experience required (REIT-asset and income testing, distribution requirements, TRS structuring).
- Strong tax leadership background in REIT, real estate, or infrastructure environments.
- Technical accounting expertise in U.S. GAAP, project accounting (CIP), and lease structures (ASC 842).
- Proven ability to build and scale accounting infrastructure and ERP systems.
- Experience partnering with capital markets and finance teams.
- Big-4 audit or large public accounting foundation strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Build and run the accounting function as a hands-on operator, personally executing the close, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Design and stand up the chart of accounts, reporting hierarchy, and accounting framework.
- Own REIT accounting, asset/income testing, and compliance from day one.
- Lead all tax processes, including federal, state, and local income tax compliance and REIT tax reporting.
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close.
- Design and implement accounting policies and technical frameworks including CIP and ASC 842.
- Lead all project/development accounting and tracking of capital expenditures.
- Build and maintain a best-in-class internal control environment.
- Implement ERP and financial systems strategy.
- Partner closely with the CFO and Capital Markets on lender/investor reporting and covenant compliance.
