Requirements
- A positive, compassionate, caring attitude for patients suffering from a rare disease.
- Good listener with the ability to communicate scientific and medical information clearly.
- Ability to connect with a diverse group of individuals and develop rapport quickly.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team setting.
- Ability to consistently and accurately document pertinent information in a secure database; proficient with reporting.
- Direct patient support experience in a medical setting required, including backgrounds such as nurse, diabetes educator or pharmacist.
- Experience working in patient support in the pharmaceutical industry is strongly desired.
- Experience in endocrinology is a bonus.
- 4-year degree required.
Responsibilities
- Establish relationships with patients with Cushing’s Syndrome who are being treated with Korlym to provide information and disease state education.
- Refer patients to HCP or specialty pharmacy when medical advice is needed or requested.
- Work closely with internal teams and specialty pharmacy to ensure excellent patient support.
- Document patient case notes and follow procedures around protecting PHI and document retention.
- Report product adverse events to Corcept medical information hotline.
- Maintain the highest standards of scientific, clinical, and technical expertise in Cushing’s Syndrome.
