Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Prior experience managing, mentoring, or leading a small accounting or bookkeeping team.
- Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or other commonly used accounting platforms.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and standard bookkeeping practices.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Self-directed and reliable.
- Experience in virtual or multi-client accounting environments preferred.
- Accounting certification or degree in Accounting/Finance preferred.
- Active CPA license or CPA candidacy preferred.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside the Division Manager to oversee day-to-day operations.
- Provide hands-on guidance and mentorship to bookkeepers.
- Conduct regular check-ins to monitor workload, quality, and morale.
- Manage a portfolio of assigned client accounts across multiple industries.
- Perform core bookkeeping functions including transaction categorization and reconciliations.
- Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports and statements.
- Review team members' work for accuracy and compliance.
- Establish and reinforce consistent standards for documentation and delivery.
- Support the Division Manager in managing client assignments and team capacity.
- Contribute to internal processes and workflow improvements.
