Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience
  • Experience hiring software engineers in crypto, fintech or adjacent financial infrastructure (payments, lending, capital markets, embedded finance, financial data platforms)
  • Blended background across in-house and agency or embedded search
  • Actively wants to use AI in day-to-day recruiting work (sourcing agents, automated outreach, AI-assisted screening, AI-assisted candidate prep)
  • Deeply AI-fluent to credibly evaluate engineers shipping with LLMs, agents, RAG, evals, and modern AI infrastructure
  • Real, warm network of fintech engineering talent across the US and Canada
  • Exceptional closer who can articulate technical opportunities to skeptical senior engineers and read motivations
  • Direct, low-ego operator comfortable with ambiguity and a fast-moving environment
  • Strong written communicator whose outreach gets opened and replied to

Responsibilities

  • Own the full hiring funnel for engineering roles across Lazer's Fintech practice, from intake to offer signed
  • Partner directly with Cofounders and Fintech leadership to translate strategy into a sharp, prioritized hiring plan
  • Source proactively by building lists, writing thoughtful outreach, and running sourcing sprints
  • Build and run interview loops that move fast and protect quality, including writing rubrics and coaching interviewers
  • Use AI to compound output, building sourcing agents, automating tasks, and raising personal recruiting ceiling
  • Close candidates with substance by leading reference calls, managing offer negotiations, and getting the right people across the line
  • Bring market signal back to the business: comp benchmarks, competitive intel, candidate loss reasons, and suggestions for change
  • Help shape how Lazer hires as the company scales, with the playbook built here being applied across the company
