Requirements
- 3-5+ years' experience as a data analyst or product data scientist
- Querying data with SQL
- Transforming data with dbt
- Performing analysis with Python
- Communicating findings with compelling data visualizations
- Masters in statistics or other relevant fields preferred
- Ownership: Build and own features from start to finish
- Strategic mindset: strong ability to connect analytics to business understanding and provide actionable insights
- Scrappiness: Navigate ambiguity effectively
- Product focus: Maximize the utility and value delivered to end users
- Familiarity with experiment design and statistical analysis
Responsibilities
- Partner with product managers and engineers to translate business goals into analytical requirements
- Perform exploratory analyses and clearly communicate findings to support strategic decisions
- Design experiments to answer business questions, including defining key metrics and applying appropriate statistical techniques to analyze results
- Prototype analytics solutions and data products to accelerate product development
- Translate analytical findings into compelling data stories through clear visualizations
- Becoming an expert in our data stack: how we get the data from customers, how we normalize that data, and how internal teams and customers consume that data
- Building, maintaining, and testing data models which support reporting and analytics
- Uphold high standards for code quality and documentation, while contributing to a culture of peer review and continuous learning
