Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent field of study
- MBA is preferred but not required
- Expert skills in MS Excel
- Expert skills in Powerpoint
- Strong interest in learning and applying AI tools to reporting
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and asking smart questions
- Ability to synthesize complex information into easy to understand reports and presentations
- Work well with people of different backgrounds across the U.S. and Canada, in a remote-first environment
- Highly productive, have a bias for action, and push to get things done efficiently
- Care about quality, clarity, and real-world impact
- Experience working with or around utilities, energy, consulting, research, or adjacent fields
- Love to dig into new tools to improve reporting, including AI and data platforms
- Insatiably curious and love to find nuggets of real insight in mountains of data
Responsibilities
- Lead or contribute to weekly and monthly financial and operational reporting
- Lead or contribute to quarterly forecasting processes
- Lead or contribute to annual budgeting processes
- Translate complex ideas into clear, compelling outputs for Business Unit leaders, Executive Committee, and Board of Directors
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across FP&A, Accounting, Commercial, and Business Units
- Apply research, analysis, or insight to improve business performance and profitability
- Shape and refine reports, tracking procedures, and communication of results
- Contribute to a culture of clarity, curiosity, and continuous improvement
