Requirements

  • Proven track record in pre-sales for data solutions, ideally within enterprise transformation programmes
  • Strong understanding of data platforms, analytics and data science from both a technology and business value perspective
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud data services (Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Power BI, Databricks, Azure AI Foundry)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, particularly in bid writing and solution presentations
  • Commercial acumen with ability to construct deals ranging from 50K to 5M
  • Stakeholder management and technical team interaction (internal, external and 3rd party)
  • Familiar with Data Lakehouse design and Data analytics solutions
  • Familiar with structured/unstructured data management approaches and technology
  • ETL/ELT best practise approaches to monitoring and error-handling
  • Data Governance tooling knowledge (e.g. Microsoft Purview)
  • 10+ years’ experience of Consulting, ideally with Nonprofit, Government or Financial Services experience
  • 7+ years’ experience of hands-on skills with ETL/ELT tools
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework and Well Architected Framework
  • Appreciation of information security standards such as ISO27001, PCI-DSS, Cyber Essentials
  • Desirable: Master Data Management tools (e.g. CluedIn, Profisee, etc)
  • Desirable: Non-Microsoft analytics technology e.g. AWS, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake
  • Desirable: Integration to D365 and working knowledge of Microsoft Common Data Model
  • Desirable: Understanding of data-modelling techniques (Kimball, Data Mesh etc)
  • Desirable: Microsoft Azure data certifications
  • Desirable: Microsoft security, identity, networking and storage technologies and cost/performance characteristics

Responsibilities

  • Be a known analytics and data science evangelist within Kerv
  • Attend conferences, events and other engagements to evangelise data approaches, products and Kerv services
  • Develop, refine and ultimately own the analytics and data science go to market strategies
  • Own the tender response / proposal process, including technical, commercial, and costing aspects
  • Collaborate with our sector POD teams, tailoring analytics and data science offerings and accelerators to industry verticals
  • Collaborate with our sales teams, including across the Kerv group, to identify and qualify data opportunities
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to customers in a value driven story telling manner
  • Bring to life tailored demos that not only solve client challenges but drive forward the benefits they seek
  • Partner with Directors and Architects to present solutions in client meetings, workshops, and deliver demos with clarity and impact
  • Provide trusted technical guidance and support to customers during the presales process
  • Work with customers to understand their business requirements and recommend solutions that meet their needs
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in the Data and AI space
  • Work with the product team to provide feedback on product features and functionality
  • Participate in internal and external industry events and conferences to promote Data solutions and build relationships with customers
  • Feed into the Technical Design Authority (TDA) and Strategic Advisory Board (SAB) processes
