Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule appointments for healthcare providers and patients.
- Manage calendars to ensure efficient use of time and resources.
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers, including relaying messages, scheduling follow-up appointments, and addressing inquiries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, treatment plans, and test results.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and protocols for medical documentation.
- Assist in coding procedures and diagnoses accurately for billing purposes.
- Manage prescription refills, including coordinating with pharmacies and obtaining prior authorizations when necessary.
- Input patient information, treatment plans, and other medical data into electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility for medical services.
- Assist in obtaining pre-authorizations for medical procedures and services from insurance companies.
