Estimator (Architectural Sheet Metal) - Work from home

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Estimator in construction, with a focus on architectural sheet metal projects. Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, including cutting, folding, welding, finishing, and installation techniques. Proven ability to read, interpret, and take-off from complex architectural and structural drawings. Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel essential). Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent negotiation skills and commercial awareness. Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously in a high-pressure environment. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work. Strong communication and relationship-building skills with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.

Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for architectural sheet metal projects. Analyze project documents, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Negotiate subcontractor proposals. Support project teams with financial tracking throughout the project lifecycle. Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and blueprints to determine project scope and requirements. Prepare detailed cost estimates covering materials, labour, equipment, and overheads. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors. Utilise industry-standard estimating software. Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor proposals. Support project teams with cost monitoring, budget tracking, and financial reporting. Maintain current knowledge of materials, market conditions, and industry innovations. Ensure all estimates and proposals are prepared in accordance with company standards and deadlines.
