Senior Software Engineer (Security) (Remote from Taiwan)

5+ years of experience as a software engineer, with a focus on security Proficiency in PHP and JavaScript Experience working in modern codebases Strong understanding of secure software development, threat modeling, and application-level vulnerabilities Ability to break down complex projects into actionable tasks and create proofs of concept Experience explaining security issues, privacy risks, and mitigation strategies to non-technical stakeholders Comfort working in a remote, distributed team environment

Design, develop, and deliver security features and enhancements for web platforms Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure safe architectural and implementation decisions Lead by example in code review, decision-making, and team culture Develop, review, and deploy security solutions Maintain security-critical components, address technical debt, and perform security maintenance Provide support during application security incidents and operational challenges Mentor and guide less experienced engineers on secure development practices
