Legal Director

At least 7 years of legal experience, ideally with a background in law firms and in-house roles within the financial industry. Previous exposure to and experience in crypto-assets or FinTech services is highly preferred. Proven track record in transactional law, specializing in drafting complex contracts. Solid knowledge of financial regulations, preferably in financial technology and credit institutions; experience in or strong exposure to crypto services is a significant advantage. At least 3–4 years of experience leading and managing teams. Full professional fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with a proactive, "hands-on" attitude. Bachelor’s degree in Law (JD equivalent); a Master’s degree or postgraduate specialization is highly preferred. Based in Mexico City, with willingness to work from the office at least twice a week.

Lead Product Legal Strategy for crypto and payments/finance products. Drive Transactional Excellence by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating financial contracts. Partner with Product team to assess risks and provide legal solutions. Coordinate and mentor a small legal team. Stay updated on financial, payment, and crypto regulations. Implement streamlined legal processes for high-volume matters.
