Director, Accounting

Deep technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606, ASC 842, and accounting for inventory, equity compensation, and complex arrangements Significant experience in a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences company Proven track record building and leading high-performing accounting teams in a fast-paced, high-growth, public company environment Strong understanding of SOX requirements and experience designing, implementing, and maintaining internal controls over financial reporting Hands-on, detail-oriented, and process-minded with a continuous improvement mindset Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Effective communicator High degree of integrity, sound judgment, and commitment to ethical business practices and compliance Proficiency with ERP and financial systems (ideally NetSuite) and close-management or automation tools such as FloQast, as well as AP and procurement solutions such as Tipalti

Lead the overall accounting function Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Establish and oversee commercial accounting processes Design and implement inventory and COGS accounting processes Lead the development, documentation, and maintenance of robust accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls Support external financial reporting processes Serve as primary point of contact for external auditors Evaluate complex and non-routine transactions Drive continuous improvement and automation across accounting operations Build, lead, and develop a high-performing accounting team
