Requirements:
3-5+ years of litigation experience Experience with labor and employment cases Experience with debt collection cases Experience with Directors and Officers cases (co-op disputes, breach of contract, business judgment cases) Experience with Securities litigation, arbitration and regulation Experience with sexual abuse, molestation, and human trafficking cases Experience with insurance coverage disputes Litigation and trial experience Experience with class action, mass tort, federal court admissions, and appellate experience Excellent writing and analytical skills Ability to draft persuasive, clear, and effective pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, memoranda, mediation statements, orders, and settlement agreements Strong interpersonal and communication skills Confidence and demeanor to build relationships with current clients Drive and ability to develop additional client relationships and business Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to efficiently manage multiple matters and produce exceptional work product under tight deadlines Ability to work as part of a team Experience, skills, and confidence to step into a leadership role Drive for excellence and willingness to take initiative to solve problems Detail-oriented and thorough Strong academic background Experience with both state and federal courts preferred Admission to the New York Bar Federal court admission a plus Willing and able to travel for court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, site inspections, and depositions
Responsibilities:
Handling all aspects of complex and sophisticated litigation from inception to resolution Researching and writing legal memoranda Drafting pleadings, substantive motions, and written discovery Developing litigation strategy Conducting large-scale document reviews and productions Preparing for trial or arbitration Working directly with clients Communicating with opposing counsel Second-chairing trials, depositions, and/or evidentiary hearings Preparing for trial and settlement negotiations
