Junior Commercial Contracts Counsel (Japanese Language Focus)

JD or equivalent, with active bar membership in good standing. 2–5 years of post-qualification experience; in-house experience preferred. Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating core commercial contracts. Fluency or business-level proficiency in Japanese (written and verbal) is required. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage high-volume contract workflows in a remote or hybrid environment. Experience with CLM system implementation or optimization is preferred. Exposure to international contracts or Japan-facing clients is preferred. Experience working with cross-functional and multinational teams is preferred.

Draft, review, and negotiate core commercial agreements. Support large-scale contracting projects. Assist with CLM implementation and contract management. Collaborate with internal teams and clients. Provide guidance on contractual risk, compliance, and commercial considerations. Stay current on relevant regulations and best practices.
