Requirements:
Deep-seated passion for building community and Watson Institute’s mission. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Systems-oriented and highly organized approach to work. Experience with Salesforce (or other CRM platforms) is a plus. Excel mastery. Email wizardry. Rapid follow-up. Data analysis. Facilitation skills. Experience working in recruitment in higher education, accelerators, fellowships, or other programs supporting entrepreneurs. Natural inclination to build relationships and partnerships in recruitment communities. Experience hosting weekly webinars via online conferences and WeChat. Experience working with WeChat is required. Experience working with Little Red Note is required. Full professional proficiency in English and Mandarin (spoken and written).
Responsibilities:
Build recruitment ecosystem in assigned geography. Cultivate relationships and identify strategic partners. Directly engage promising entrepreneurs. Design outreach strategies and host events. Ensure high-quality applicants enter the pipeline. Conduct thorough research and mapping of local organizations. Build relationships with local nominators and organizations. Organize and lead virtual and in-person recruitment events. Directly identify and reach out to promising entrepreneurs. Attend community events and represent Watson Institute. Support the selection process for the assigned region. Review and screen applications. Conduct preliminary interviews. Manage candidate pipeline in Salesforce. Maintain communication with applicants. Maintain organized records and monitor progress. Report on performance and refine outreach strategies. Lead immersive experiences in Boulder, CO and other locations. Support Fellows with travel and visa logistics. Facilitate sessions for Fellows. Attend and facilitate workshops. Plan Community Building sessions. Hold 1-on-1s with Fellows. Support the Events Team with Basecamps and Summit execution.
