Restoration Estimator

Proven experience as a Restoration Estimator, Scope Specialist, or Damage Assessor in the residential restoration industry. Strong understanding of home restoration processes for water, fire, and contents loss. Specific knowledge of Mold Remediation and Fire Mitigation protocols. Proficiency in defining scope of work, estimating labor hours, and calculating equipment time. Experience utilizing industry-standard software like Xactimate. In-depth knowledge of the home insurance claims process. Ability to effectively communicate, document, and negotiate project scope with insurance adjusters and carriers. Excellent analytical skills for remote damage assessment and creating detailed scope and time estimates. Strong attention to detail for maintaining digital records and photographic evidence. Ability to clearly and professionally communicate scope, timelines, and expectations. IICRC Certification (e.g., WRT, ASD, FSRT) is highly preferred.

Conduct on-site evaluations of damaged properties to assess and define the scope of restoration. Evaluate the necessity for specialized services like Mold Remediation and Fire Mitigation. Prepare accurate scope-of-work and time estimates, focusing on labor, equipment time, and project scope. Develop and present comprehensive proposals to clients and insurance adjusters. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and insurance adjusters. Maintain detailed records of scope documents, estimates, contracts, and communications. Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and best practices. Provide exceptional customer service throughout the process.
