Minimum five years working as an admissions officer/reader at a selective college
Thorough understanding of the high school curriculum, AP, IB, ACT, SAT, and other standardized tests
Experience working with students 7th -12th grade, transfer applications, and private/boarding school applicants
Proven track record of student success with all different types of academic programs
Successful methods with how to differentiate a students application and build an incredible portfolio
Experience with athletic recruitment and other specialized endeavors
Expertise with the differences between public, private, charter,and boarding school environments
Expert knowledge of Naviance, Scoir, and other college admissions software
Expertise with all application platforms (Common App, Coalition App, Apply Texas, and school specific applications)
Thorough knowledge of the college process, different types of schools, resources, and environments
A proven track record with placing students in selective colleges, prestigious high school internships and other extra curricular activities
In-depth knowledge with the financial aid process, scholarship options, and other aid
Proficient with using technology
M.Ed. and Ph.D in education (Extra Credit)

Responsibilities:

Guide families and mentor students through the entire admissions process
Create individualized plans for students including course selection, academic interest exploration, extracurricular activities and summer programs
Conduct ongoing research on school profiles, course catalogs and academic programs
Differentiate student applications and build incredible portfolios
Advise on athletic recruitment and other specialized endeavors
