Admissions Specialist

1+ years experience working in mental health admissions or a sales related role. Degree in psychology, business administration, or other health related fields preferred. Strong interpersonal skills, phone presence, and adept at building strong working relationships. Key analytical abilities to collect, analyze, and use Admissions data. Strong understanding of the healthcare landscape. Excellent organizational awareness, adaptability, and conflict management skills. A passion for living our mission and values. Spanish speaking is a plus.

Field all inbound inquiries. Collect and document all relevant data into Equip’s proprietary EMR software. Coordinate with internal teams to meet the needs of patients and their families. Monitor medical records and collaborate with Medical Directors on admissions criteria. Foster relationships with referring providers. Utilize problem solving and sales skills to maintain urgency and drive to seek treatment. Adhere to HIPAA compliance in managing sensitive information. Relate to patients and families ethically and empathetically.
