Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, geosciences, or a related field. Minimum five years of related experience in commercial land development, engineering, construction, project management, or a related field. Proven project management skills, including cross-functional team management, due diligence, entitlements, budgeting, and scheduling. Advanced knowledge of land use planning, zoning, and permitting processes. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to review and interpret technical reports. Advanced proficiency in managing project timelines and deliverables. Ability to make day-to-day decisions autonomously. Advanced experience working with teams across departments such as engineering, legal, and finance. Proven experience engaging with external consultants. Advanced experience with managing relationships with permitting agencies, local governments, and community stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Earth, Prospect, Bluebeam, and Procore (preferred). Smartsheet experience (preferred). Project Management Professional certification (preferred).
Responsibilities:
Support projects through feasibility scoping, due diligence, permitting, budget and schedule development, and vendor agreement execution. Manage external consultants performing site studies and technical evaluations. Coordinate site walks, zoning/bylaws reviews, and attend meetings with agencies and stakeholders. Prepare and submit permitting applications and track approvals. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to coordinate development activities and communicate progress. Develop project management skills including critical thinking, problem-solving, negotiation, and risk management. Engage local stakeholders, including community members and government officials. Provide regular updates and status reports to senior team members. Maintain project documentation, track task completion, and ensure proper filing. Assist in managing consultants and vendor contracts, including invoice tracking and payments. Assist in the evaluation and selection of consultants and service providers.
