Direct Engineering teams to ensure process efficiency, effective resource allocation, product quality, and achievement of milestones and deadlines. Identify and track metrics to ensure quality objectives are met and recommend process improvements. Conduct team performance management and foster a culture of operational excellence. Drive best practices in software development, testing, production deployment, and knowledge sharing. Own, maintain, and improve existing software services, APIs, and web applications. Work with Product Management and Business Analysts to understand and plan for future product releases. Lead, grow, and coach the engineering team, support career growth. Meet with customers and stakeholders to discuss technical issues and requirements. Determine and recommend methods to streamline and improve development processes. Speak externally regarding the Company's technology and product-specific topics. May lead Sustaining Engineering teams. Communicate with equivalent level managers or senior outside contacts. Assist executive-level personnel with corporate projects/initiatives. Handle escalations and higher-level management issues. Participate in product planning throughout the product life cycle. Conduct technical/function reviews. Collaborate with QA, DevOps, Product, and Customer Service teams.
