Requirements:
Active and unrestricted medical license to practice psychiatry in the state of Georgia. Board-certified in Psychiatry and Child/Adolescent psychiatry. Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in psychiatry. Prior experience working in a nurse protocol/collaborative agreement or supervisory role with Nurse Practitioners is highly desirable. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective remote interaction. Knowledge of state laws and regulations governing NP practice and collaborative agreements in Georgia. Maintains active professional liability insurance.
Responsibilities:
Enter into and maintain a nurse protocol agreement with Nurse Practitioners. Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and support to Nurse Practitioners. Be available for regular remote consultations with NPs. Ensure all practices comply with state laws, regulations, and organizational policies. Foster open and effective remote communication with NPs and healthcare team members. Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to supervision. Stay current with best practices and changes in healthcare regulations.
