Director of Data Analytics and Governance

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master's preferred). 10+ years in data/analytics (5+ in leadership). Success in healthtech and building data teams from scratch is preferred. Track record of launching data warehouses, BI platforms, and driving measurable adoption. Proven ability to operate with scrappiness and speed, while building scalable data systems and governance processes. Healthcare data expertise including FHIR, HIPAA requirements. Experience navigating regulatory audits and compliance frameworks in telehealth, EHR, or healthcare SaaS. Skilled at aligning diverse stakeholders. Executive presence and ability to present to boards/investors. Strong technical foundation with expert SQL, dimensional modeling, and modern data stack architecture. Experience building and mentoring data teams, fostering accountability, technical excellence, and growth. Track record scaling teams from 2-3 to 10+ people.

Own the vision, roadmap, and performance (OKRs) of data & analytics infrastructure. Drive self-service analytics adoption. Align priorities, define data contracts, and ensure analytics support business objectives. Lead annual and quarterly planning, OKR development, and technology selection. Engage directly with stakeholders to understand analytics needs and translate them into roadmaps. Define and track KPIs, analyze data quality, and iterate quickly. Build, manage, and coach a team of data engineers, analytics engineers, and analysts.
