Procurement Specialist

At least five years’ experience as a government procurement professional Experience writing solicitations, executing procurement processes, expanding vendor pools, and managing contracts Experience implementing alternative acquisition strategies for custom software projects preferred Experience executing procurements for complex and/or large-scale software projects Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills Eagerness to learn about modern software development practices (Agile, user research, product ownership, DevOps)

Manage delivery of procurement engagements Build trusted relationships with government partners Prepare scope of work documents Manage volunteer teams for procurement engagements Guide partners' procurement leaders on Agile procurement Contribute to USDR’s procurement theory of change Represent USDR’s procurement work externally Develop and deliver presentations and workshops Build and maintain relationships with ecosystem partners Write public-facing guidance on best practices
