Staff Software Engineer (Athena)

Own a significant domain within the clearing house such as customer onboarding workflows, entitlement management, or data validation pipelines.
Drive the architecture and implementation of backend systems in Go on GCP to ensure they are production-ready, observable, and maintainable.
Lead the design of data pipelines that ingest unstructured vulnerability reports, deduplicate findings, and produce clean structured outputs.
Establish and model engineering best practices including code review standards, testing, and incident response.
Partner closely with the principal engineer and manager on technical planning, architecture alignment, and roadmap sequencing.
Collaborate with the libraries team on interface contracts and data quality requirements.

Engineering at Chainguard

You will tackle securing the open source ecosystem, building hardened container images and malware-resistant libraries. Engineers solve complex problems in dependency management, build automation, and provenance. You will work with cloud-native environments, CI/CD systems, and supply chain security frameworks like SLSA. This team focuses on creating secure, reproducible build pipelines for critical software components, including the .NET ecosystem.
