Software Engineering Manager

3+ years of experience in direct people management of software developers. 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Software Engineer. Strong background in Java and the Spring Framework (Spring Boot preferred). Proficiency in AWS services and cloud-native development practices. Experience with modern frontend development, preferably React. Deep understanding and practical experience with Scrum and Agile development methodologies. Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage geographically distributed or mixed-location teams. Fluency in English (written and verbal).

Directly manage, mentor, and coach software developers. Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, performance reviews, and goal setting. Lead recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of new engineering talent. Drive adoption of best practices in Java, AWS, and modern web development. Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of features. Guide technical design decisions and manage technical debt. Manage geographically distributed teams in a fully remote setting. Champion effective Scrum processes.
