Qualified Lawyer with extensive experience on Product counseling (jurisdiction agnostic; multiple bars a plus) Product Counsel Experience in technology, with prior HR-tech exposure (EOR/PEO/HRIS/Payroll) advising at scale across multiple jurisdictions Strong command of emerging AI frameworks (e.g., EU AI Act, UK approach, U.S. state/federal developments, Canada AIDA) and their interplay with data protection (GDPR/CCPA) and employment transparency rules In-house legal experience preferred Experience in fast-paced start-up preferred Passionate about tech and HR tech products Excellent analytical and organizational skills Writes and speaks fluent English Tech-savvy with Slack, Juro, Notion, Google Drive, or equivalent

Lead AI and HRIS product compliance, partnering with Product, Engineering, Security and the Privacy team Embed a risk-based legal review into product development workflows Own product T&Cs for HRIS and AI features Stand up core Product AI governance Own HRIS and AI product counseling end-to-end Draft and negotiate product terms, and AI-specific clauses Proactively monitor new AI and tech regulations Manage external counsel Deliver targeted enablement Partner with Privacy & Security on DPIAs/TIAs, incident response, and vendor/LLM diligence
