Senior Product Legal Counsel

7+ years of relevant experience in a law firm and/or technology company. J.D. from an accredited law school and in active good standing with at least one state bar. Knowledgeable and passionate about technology law and policy, privacy law, and schools. Practical, business-oriented approach to problem-solving. Strong communicator with the ability to distill complex topics. Eager to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.

Partner with subject matter experts on key product-related issues. Advise product and engineering teams on privacy, IP, data security, consumer protection laws (COPPA, FERPA, CCPA), and responsible AI. Counsel regarding new features, billing, payments, third-party partnerships, and integrations. Support product-related communications and disclosures. Draft and update end user license agreements, terms of service, privacy policies, and consents. Provide guidance on intellectual property and litigation support. Interface with external counsel as needed.
