Responsibilities
- Prepare complex group accounts
- Prepare non-financial or specialist reports
- Prepare accounts using paper records or accounting software other than Xero
- Handle adhoc client work as required
- Calculate tax obligations for complex scenarios
- Prepare GST, FBT, DWT, interest and RWT returns with minimal rework
- Explain different reporting requirements for different business entities
- Anticipate reviewer requirements in workpapers
- Independently research and suggest appropriate accounting treatments
- Clearly communicate assumptions and recommendations with supporting documentation
- Identify key matters to raise with clients in workpaper notes
- Apply prior knowledge and independent research to identify tax options
- Provide buddy and training assistance to junior team members
