Responsibilities

  • Prepare complex group accounts
  • Prepare non-financial or specialist reports
  • Prepare accounts using paper records or accounting software other than Xero
  • Handle adhoc client work as required
  • Calculate tax obligations for complex scenarios
  • Prepare GST, FBT, DWT, interest and RWT returns with minimal rework
  • Explain different reporting requirements for different business entities
  • Anticipate reviewer requirements in workpapers
  • Independently research and suggest appropriate accounting treatments
  • Clearly communicate assumptions and recommendations with supporting documentation
  • Identify key matters to raise with clients in workpaper notes
  • Apply prior knowledge and independent research to identify tax options
  • Provide buddy and training assistance to junior team members
