Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of digital marketing and fundraising experience, with a focus on email strategy and program management. Prior experience in a direct response agency or nonprofit marketing team strongly preferred. Demonstrated success managing email programs—from strategic planning through creative execution and reporting. Strong copywriting and/or creative direction experience. Understanding of segmentation, donor lifecycles, audience engagement, and testing frameworks. Confident communicator with excellent organizational, project management, and client-facing skills. Adept at managing multiple concurrent campaigns and deadlines. Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and bringing structure to fast-moving workflows. Experience with platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot, MailChimp, Eloqua, Klaviyo, Fundraise Up, GoFundMePro/Classy, or similar platforms is essential. Understanding of SMS/MMS marketing strategy and platforms a plus. Familiarity with paid digital media strategy, including Meta, Google Ads, and DSPs such as StackAdapt. Basic knowledge of Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager, and Data Studio preferred. SEO fundamentals a plus.
Responsibilities:
Lead sophisticated email programs from strategic planning through execution and optimization. Develop strategic email calendars that integrate with broader fundraising initiatives. Lead audience segmentation strategies and testing frameworks. Direct creative development with a focus on compelling storytelling. Direct the day-to-day creative process, from concept through implementation. Collaborate with internal teams, partner agencies and freelancers. Translate complex digital marketing strategies into actionable implementation plans. Lead integrated, multi-channel digital campaigns. Ensure seamless coordination between digital and direct mail strategies. Manage timelines, budgets, and team resources. Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned nonprofit clients. Present strategic recommendations, creative concepts, and performance. Proactively identify opportunities for program innovation, optimization, and growth. Collaborate cross-functionally with account, creative, media, and analytics teams. Lead the development of campaign reporting and analysis. Apply performance learnings to improve creative direction, segmentation, testing strategies, and donor engagement. Monitor emerging trends in email marketing, digital fundraising, and donor behavior.
