Database Support Engineer - EMEA

Strong PostgreSQL knowledge including query optimisation, indexing strategies, execution plans, and database internals Proficiency in CLI SQL expertise including complex queries, window functions, CTEs, and PL/pgSQL Experience with performance analysis (reading logs, metrics, identifying bottlenecks) Experience with TimescaleDB Experience with other relational databases Background in customer-facing technical roles Curiosity or experience with AI in databases Ability to learn quickly across diverse technical domains Strong communication skills Experience with AWS/Azure services and cloud architecture (Nice to Have) Understanding of container orchestration, pods, services, and resource management (Nice to Have) Browser DevTools debugging (Nice to Have)

Provide technical support to customers experiencing database and platform issues Troubleshoot and optimise PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB performance issues Help implement database solutions, including Timescaledb features Analyse complex query execution plans and resolve performance bottlenecks Investigate issues across the full stack — from application layer to database internals Integrate and troubleshoot platform features Support internal teams with debugging knowledge Partner with Engineering teams to identify root causes Contribute to platform improvements Document to support team knowledge sharing
