Requirements:
At least 3 years of engineering management experience. A total of 8 years or more experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Management of partial- or fully-remote teams distributed across multiple timezones. Hands-on experience in the Data Engineering space (ODBC, Python ecosystem, BI tools, Spark). Demonstrated experience with good engineering practices and software craftsmanship. Demonstrable experience in shipping features and hitting deadlines consistently. Capable of reasoning about code written in various programming languages. Experience with working on or managing Open Source Software.
Responsibilities:
Lead and grow a team of passionate engineers. Manage and motivate a team of software engineers. Demonstrate enthusiasm for the engineering space through exploratory testing. Drive technical direction and provide leadership in an agile environment. Partner with other engineering leaders to define best practices. Work closely with leaders from other departments. Coach and mentor engineers of all levels. Recruit, interview, hire and onboard new engineers.
