Staff Solutions Architect (Central US)

6+ years of sales engineering, solutions architecture, or consulting in data operations, analytics, or BI Proven hands-on experience with SQL, ETL, and data modeling Strong understanding of modern data stacks and cloud data warehousing Effective communicator—able to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences Ability to gather and translate technical and business requirements into concrete solutions Excellent written, and in-person communication skills Adaptable in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities Passion for being an inclusive teammate and involved member of the community Prior experience working at an analytics, ETL, BI, and/or open-sourced software Knowledge of or prior experience with dbt Experience with Data Modeling methods (dimensional, data vault, Kimball, 3NF) Experience with Data warehousing tooling (Snowflake, Databricks, etc.) Experience with leading the technical aspects of the sales cycle

Design modern, enterprise-scale data architectures using dbt Cloud Partner with Sales to demonstrate the technical value of dbt Labs solutions Lead proof-of-concept engagements and technical evaluations Work with engineering to deploy dbt Cloud in private clouds Manage the full customer lifecycle, from pre-sales through onboarding and adoption Collaborate with Product and Engineering to influence the enterprise roadmap Enable strategic partners in their implementation of dbt Engage in the dbt Community and contribute to thought leadership
