Principal CPA, Director of Tax

CPA with 8+ years of experience Majority of experience in public accounting serving diverse clients Comfortable in client-facing relationships Detail-oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills Comfortable working online and with cloud-based applications Experience with at least one cloud-based accounting platform (e.g., Xero, QBO, Sage, Netsuite) Experience with a major tax prep software package Experience with project management, task management, or practice management tools

Maintain strong client relationships and satisfaction Uphold quality control standards for client deliverables Lead and mentor the tax team Prepare personal and corporate tax planning documents Adjust clients' payroll settings for planning goals Prepare and review business and individual tax returns Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) Respond to client tax notices Create tax projections and scenario modeling Research federal and state income, payroll, and sales tax issues Respond to client inquiries regarding reporting, strategy, and taxes Recommend organizational structure decisions for tax purposes Assist with entity formation as it relates to taxes Analyze and recommend compensation and retirement plan structures Assist clients with government programs/grant opportunities
