Construction Estimators

Proven experience as a Construction Estimator (3+ years preferred). Experience with estimating in residential, commercial, civil, or industrial construction. Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., ProEst, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Sage Estimating). Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents. Excellent mathematical and analytical skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred). Experience with remote collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Slack, Trello) (preferred). Knowledge of local building codes and permit processes (preferred). LEED certification or knowledge of sustainable building practices is a plus.

Review architectural and engineering drawings, project plans, and specifications. Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor work. Analyze historical data and pricing trends. Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and vendors. Develop and maintain a database of unit costs, productivity rates, and supplier pricing. Participate in bid reviews and risk analysis. Coordinate with project managers to transition awarded projects into production. Assist in value engineering and cost-saving strategies. Maintain accurate records and documentation. Communicate with vendors and suppliers for pricing, lead times, and availability.
