Lead Metallurgist / Mineral Processing Engineer (Middle East & North Africa)

Tertiary qualification in Metallurgy or Mineral Process Engineering. Broad understanding of Mineral Process Engineering with experience in mill circuits, flotation, and heap leach operations. Extensive experience in mineral processing evaluation of third-party operations (>20 years) in open pit and underground mining. Extensive knowledge of copper and gold deposit types, preferably including ferrous, phosphate, and critical metal/mineral deposits in Australia or Canada. Understanding of geometallurgy models with respect to orebody/deposit knowledge. Detailed knowledge/interest in machine learning (ML) and data sciences applied to mineral processing. Knowledge of mineral resource modelling software and data analysis tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Familiarity with mining regulations and reporting standards in Australia (JORC) and Canada (NI43-101). Leadership qualities to manage a growing team. Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%.

Lead an expanding metallurgical team and ensure quality control of geometallurgical models. Audit clients' geometallurgy models and newly generated Stratum models. Analyze complex mine site databases and report on data issues. Collaborate with ML engineers, mine planners, and metallurgists for model optimization. Provide technical input to enhance sales team capabilities. Implement audit and quality control procedures for data and resource models. Ensure adherence to mining regulations for ore reserve reporting. Assist in preparing technical reports and presentations. Provide guidance and training to junior metallurgists.
