Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration or related discipline 7+ years of professional human resources experience 5+ years of experience in a core HR functional area or as an HR Generalist 3+ years of supervisory experience (preferred) Experience with diverse employee populations in Canada and the US (preferred) Experience leading HR due diligence for mergers and acquisitions (preferred) Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) (preferred) Working knowledge of HR principles and practices Awareness of multiple human resource disciplines Knowledge of federal and state employment laws Excellent interpersonal and professional communications skills Ability to interact with all levels of individuals Ability to comprehend, interpret and communicate employment laws and company policies Ability to motivate team members and lead through influence Ability to manage change and direct problem-solving Ability to handle and safeguard confidential information Strong business acumen Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint) – intermediate user proficiency
Responsibilities:
Provide human resources consultation and support to business units/functions. Interpret HR policies, programs, and guidelines. Serve as an acquisition integration manager for the HR function. Provide guidance to business leaders on engagement, productivity, and retention. Partner with leaders to assess business needs and ensure integrated HR solutions. Manage employee relations and conduct investigations. Support organizational structure development. Provide performance management guidance. Input for job reclassifications and reorganizations. Utilize workforce data analysis. Recommend HR policy and practice improvements. Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies. Partner with regional HR teams on various initiatives. Resolve compensation-related issues and support job description creation. Assist in Affirmative Action Plan development. Represent HR in cross-functional teams. Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements. Partner with the legal department as needed.
