Bridge Engineer and Construction Engineering Representative

BA/BS in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering or demonstrated equivalency of experience. Valid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites. Experience in engineering design, construction inspection, or project management preferred. EIT or FE preferred and ability to obtain PE license in Tennessee. 2 years experience in the freight rail industry with Public Improvement Projects is preferred. Familiarity with AREMA or TDOT design processes is preferred. Basic knowledge of industry-standard software (MicroStation, MathCAD). Excellent communication and time management skills.

Builds analytic and design skills while conducting engineering design under supervision. Creates designs, calculations, sketches, and final working drawings. Collects and analyzes data, and uses software for engineering problems. Performs on-site monitoring of field operations for compliance. Coordinates with client personnel and contractors throughout project phases. Reviews plans and contractor submissions for constructability. Maintains project records and documentation. Proactively responds to client requests.
