Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 3+ years of revenue accounting experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with SaaS and/or professional services revenue models.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606.
- Familiarity with quote-to-cash processes.
- Experience with revenue systems (NetSuite preferred, Salesforce a plus).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Process-oriented mindset focused on continuous improvement.
- CPA preferred.
- Public accounting experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare revenue journal entries in accordance with US GAAP and revenue recognition guidelines.
- Reconcile revenue-related accounts including deferred, unbilled, and accrued revenue.
- Perform monthly and quarterly financial reporting with fluctuation analysis.
- Apply ASC 606 guidance to customer arrangements and document accounting conclusions.
- Partner with Sales, Deal Desk, and Legal to review contracts for revenue recognition impacts.
- Identify and escalate non-standard contract terms for accounting treatment.
- Support process standardization and system enhancements across quote-to-cash operations.
- Collaborate with Billing Operations, RevOps, and FP&A to ensure cross-functional alignment.
- Prepare documentation for audit requests and respond to inquiries.
