Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in an engineering management role.
- 5+ years of experience building and scaling software systems.
- Experience leading full-stack engineering teams and managing engineers at different levels of seniority.
- Strong technical judgment with experience guiding architectural and product tradeoffs.
- Experience partnering with Product, Design, Applied Science, and Data Science teams.
- Proven ability to hire, mentor, and develop strong engineering talent.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Experience using experimentation frameworks, A/B testing, metrics, and research insights.
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve technical vision and strategy in partnership with Product, Design, Applied Science, and Data Science stakeholders.
- Lead execution against team objectives and key results (OKRs) to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Guide teams through complex technical decisions and architectural tradeoffs.
- Manage, coach, and develop full-stack engineers across backend, frontend, iOS, and Android.
- Build a high-performing engineering culture focused on ownership, collaboration, and accountability.
- Use experimentation, analytics, and market insights to inform product and engineering decisions.
