Requirements
- 8+ years of expertise in revenue cycle management.
- 2-3 years of management experience.
- Exceptional negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
- Experience working closely with health plan partners to resolve payment issues.
- Deep expertise with CMS regulations.
- Deep understanding of commercial payer behaviors.
- Experience working with various EMR and RCM software.
- Proficiency with diverse health plan portals.
- Demonstrated history of tangible outcomes in claims collections and data visibility.
- Strong system migration experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end collections process and maintain accurate collections forecasts for senior leadership.
- Build and enforce a high-discipline collections engine, including standardizing recovery cadences and eliminating revenue leakage.
- Identify bottlenecks and design workflows to reduce denials and shorten the AR lifecycle.
- Strategically partner with growth teams during contract negotiations to set up clients for success.
- Serve as the ultimate closer for complex billing disputes and negotiate favorable settlements with health plan partners.
- Act as the primary point of escalation for clients and provide transparent, actionable updates on billing hurdles.
- Partner with Finance, Legal, and Ops to align billing strategies with company growth.
- Drive team KPIs by tracking recovery rates and payer behavior to pivot strategies in real-time.
- Lead the team managing end-to-end customer billing processes and communications.
