Requirements
- 12+ years in product design, including 5+ years leading and managing design teams.
- Experience managing cross-functionally across product design, research, and content/writing.
- Proven track record partnering with marketing and brand.
- Deep experience with design systems, including building, scaling, and using them to raise quality and velocity.
- Experience designing for trust between people, such as in marketplaces or community products.
- AI-native proficiency with a clear point of view on the integration of AI into design workflows.
- Strong operational skills in running rituals, giving sharp feedback, and team building.
- Experience as a player-coach who still loves craft and ships work personally.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and grow a cross-disciplinary design team spanning product design, research, and content/UX writing.
- Set the design vision and strategy for Kindred as a key thought partner to product, engineering, marketing and operations.
- Champion member-centric thinking across the company, grounding decisions in both qualitative insight and quantitative data.
- Own the quality bar for the member experience and build systems that enable fast, high-quality shipping.
- Lead an AI-native design practice by setting standards for using AI across prototyping, research, and production.
- Partner deeply with marketing and brand to ensure product and brand operate as one unified system.
