Requirements
- Proven design-systems experience, specifically having shipped a system within a working team.
- Strong Figma craft including variables, tokens, components with variants and properties, and auto-layout.
- Expertise in managing published libraries and utilizing Figma Dev Mode.
- Strong visual design skills suitable for a premium consumer health product.
- Solid documentation habits for specs, do's and don'ts, and accessibility notes.
- Ability to work in an AI-assisted environment.
- Experience building design systems specifically for mobile applications (preferred).
- Knowledge of token exportation to code via tools like Style Dictionary, Tailwind, or Token Studio (preferred).
- Familiarity with Storybook (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Audit existing app screens to identify and extract consistent design patterns.
- Build a robust Figma system from scratch encompassing tokens, components, and patterns.
- Define and document all component states including default, hover, focus, active, disabled, error, empty, and loading.
- Collaborate with designers and developers to harmonize the system with existing production code and naming conventions.
- Author comprehensive component documentation covering usage guidelines, specs, and accessibility requirements.
- Develop a maintenance and contribution guide for the design system.
- Conduct a final handover and walkthrough of the system for the design team.
