Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience.
- 3+ years of experience managing and growing engineering teams.
- Experience delivering consumer-facing software and driving execution through ambiguity.
- Track record of performance management, including setting expectations and delivering candid feedback.
- Technical judgment to guide architecture, quality, and reliability decisions.
- Experience leading significant end-to-end technical initiatives like re-platforming.
- Familiarity with modern full-stack development, including declarative UI frameworks like React or React Native and backend-for-frontend architectures.
- Ability to build alignment and resolve tensions in complex decision-making processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation.
- Must be based in Spain.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a well-balanced team of engineers by setting expectations and providing feedback.
- Own the team’s technical strategy and multi-quarter roadmap.
- Empower the tech lead and engineers through hands-on technical design and cross-functional alignment.
- Own the availability, reliability, and performance of consumer-critical systems, including on-call support.
- Break large programs into sprint-sized milestones to maintain shipping momentum.
- Partner across Product, Design, and Analytics teams.
- Guide the team on leveraging technologies like agentic AI to multiply output.
- Drive hiring and onboarding to foster a culture of ownership and quality.
